She was just sitting there, thinking. We had a disagreement. Rather, she felt she needed to correct me which involved claws and a very tiny bit of blood. I was standing at my computer while she was on my bed which is actually very high up, shoulder-height, so she was at my shoulder. She kept tapping me and I was ignoring her.
I WAS IGNORING HER.
Anyway, I screamed and waved a piece of paper at her and she took off and has spent the last day refusing to eat (in front of me when I put it down for her) and leaving the room when I enter it. I don’t have a lot of people I interact with on a daily basis. I would like to patch things up with her but I don’t want to let her walk all over me.
Wait! She’s on the bed pretending to nap! Perhaps a public apology is what she was waiting for. Okay!
PENNY CAT, I AM SORRY I OVERREACTED TO YOUR APPROPRIATE CORRECTION OF MY BEHAVIOUR. PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGY.
I prefer to visit houses that have animals or children in them, of course humans too, this means I might get a hot beverage. This weekend I was reunited with my brother’s cohabiters. We bonded. But I didn’t feed them so it was brief. Spanning pan dimensions requires the intake of lots of fuel after all (and naps, preferably in the sun) so they aren’t being rude when they ask for food, just expedient.
You can too if you click here.
Just a warning. It is a half hour you will never get back.
My cat is very old.
She likes to sit on my lap regardless of what I do.
Right now her head and paws are resting on my right wrist.
I have arthritis and so does she.
She purrs constantly and loudly.
She cannot read what I type
but she approves.
Diva the cat died a just over year ago. As difficult as she made typing at the computer, and ironing, I miss her!
I started a quilt for my mother in the hopes of getting it finished for Mother’s Day. Life and other minor annoyances were not co-operative!
always raising the flower,
cat always smiling.
I wanted to get some photos of the ice coating the tree branches reflecting the sun. The sky was that heart stopping-ly blue, blue, blue, the kind that makes peoples of northern climes simultaneously chime with awe and shiver with cold.
Alas my camera is not the best. I tip my hat to the brave photographers who climb over ice and snow to get photographs. In truth it is the photographer in this case who really is limited. I love winter vistas but only when looking out at them from the warmth of a 21st century home equipped with thermal windows, central heating and electricity…
Speaking of which, our little disaster here in Scarberia with the lack of power and heat ended far more quickly than the more painful lack of internet and television! For the news I had my 92 year old mother, her radio still had working batteries. With her head phones on she would give me updates. “Still cold, still without heat and power in many homes…” 🙂
Sometimes making a big deal about New Years it is not very helpful to people with the blues. I think that is the subject of another post. I went to dinner and a movie with friends and was in bed before midnight, it was just enough to be lovely. Resolutions? NO!
I had a few projects to work on once the power came back. Here is a photo of me working on “Penny”. You can see I feel pretty good about it.
